Coined by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and author Chris Yeh in their 2018 book Blitzscaling: The Lightning-Fast Path to Building Massively Valuable Companies, the framework describes how startups rapidly transition into massive global scaleups to dominate "winner-take-most" markets.

Instead of waiting for certainty, a blitzscaling company takes massive, calculated risks—effectively building and launching a "plane" while simultaneously strapping jet engines to it mid-air.
