About Skilldera

African creators deserve
infrastructure built for them.

Skilldera is the commerce backbone for African digital creators — built in Buea, Cameroon by people who use MoMo every day, speak both English and French, and have built things on this continent before.

Our story

Why we're building this

I'm Adrian Ebesoh. I grew up in Cameroon. I've watched brilliant African creators teach makeup, French, programming, business — anything you can imagine — and lose 30% of their income to platforms designed for someone else.

Selar took 3 days to pay them out. Gumroad required a PayPal account they didn't have. Teachable was priced in USD they don't earn in. Meanwhile, every Cameroonian I knew lived inside Mobile Money — instant, free, universal — but no platform let them sell on it.

So we built Skilldera. A creator commerce platform where the buyer pays MoMo, the seller receives MoMo, the fees are 8-15% in XAF, the dashboard is in English and French, and the students keep their access forever.

We're not Selar with a coat of paint. We're a different philosophy — building from Buea, for African creators, with deep empathy for what it actually feels like to sell something on this continent in 2026.

“If we build this right, in 5 years a million African creators will run their entire commerce on Skilldera — in XAF, on MoMo, with their students learning forever. That's the only outcome worth shipping for.”

What we believe

Six promises encoded in the product

🌍

Built for Africa, first

We don't adapt a Western product. Every line of code, every price point, every payment rail assumes our user is in Buea, Yaoundé, Lagos, Accra — not San Francisco.

♾️

Permanent buyer access

When a student buys, that access is theirs forever. Not until the creator's subscription lapses. Not until policy changes. Forever — encoded in our database, our terms, and our soul.

💸

XAF in, XAF out

No foreign exchange spread. No USD detour. You earn in XAF, your buyers pay in XAF, your payouts arrive in XAF. The way it should be.

🤝

Creators come first

Every feature ships after we've spoken to 10+ creators. We don't guess. We talk, we listen, we build, we ship, we measure, we repeat.

Speed over polish

We'd rather ship Monday and refine Friday than polish for 6 months. The internet moves fast. African creator economy moves faster.

🔓

No lock-in, ever

Your students, your storefront, your data. Export everything anytime. We earn your business every month — we don't trap it.
