Create your free account at skilldera.co. Upload a government-issued ID and your Mobile Money number. Admin reviews and approves within 24 hours. KYC is a one-time step to protect buyers and ensure payouts reach the right person.
Tip: Use a clear phone photo of your NIC or passport, the most common rejection reason is a blurry photo.
Your personal storefront lives at skilldera.co/yourname. Add your display name, bio, profile photo, and social handles. Upload a cover banner (1200 × 630 px), this also becomes the preview image when you share your link on WhatsApp or Facebook.
Tip: A face photo for your profile and a branded banner together increase trust and conversion significantly.
Go to Creator Dashboard → Products → New Product. Choose type: Video Course, Ebook, Digital Download, or Physical. Add a title, description, price in XAF, and a thumbnail. Set a free preview lesson to show potential buyers what they're buying.
Go to your product → Lessons tab. Add each lesson: title, description, and video. Upload directly to Cloudinary (stored securely, your students stream it, not download it) or paste a YouTube/Vimeo embed URL for YouTube-hosted content. Lessons can be up to 30 min (Free), 1 hr (Starter), or 4 hrs (Pro).
Tip: Use a 720p mp4, it uploads faster and plays smoothly even on slow connections. Cloudinary auto-compresses for you.
Hit "Publish" to make your product live. Copy your product link or storefront link from the dashboard. Share it on WhatsApp groups, TikTok, Instagram bio, or anywhere your audience is. Buyers land on your branded storefront, no Skilldera branding unless you're on the Free plan.
When a buyer clicks "Buy Now", they go through a Fapshi-powered Mobile Money checkout. They pay from their MTN or Orange Money wallet. You get an instant email notification. The platform commission (5% Free / 4.5% Starter / 4% Pro / 0% Premium) is deducted automatically. A 200 XAF processing fee applies on orders ≥ 3,000 XAF.
Your earnings accumulate in your dashboard. Once you hit 5,000 XAF (minimum), go to Dashboard → Payouts → Request Payout. Admin processes it manually and sends the MoMo transfer within 24 hours. You'll receive a confirmation email when it's done.
Tip: Make sure your MoMo number is saved correctly in Settings → Payment Methods before requesting.
Enable the affiliate program on any product. Set the commission rate (10–50% recommended). Affiliates share their unique link. When someone buys through that link, the commission is split automatically. Use discount codes and flash sales to drive launches.

Video courses
No expensive gear. No editing degree. Here is the phone-to-platform workflow used by every creator on Skilldera.
A modern Android phone at 720p produces perfectly watchable course content. No studio required. Natural light near a window is better than expensive lighting.
Buyers forgive average video but not poor audio. Record in a quiet room. Close windows. Use earphones with a built-in mic, they isolate your voice better than the phone speaker.
CapCut (free, phone-based) handles everything, cut silences, add captions, trim mistakes. Keep lessons under 20 min per segment for best completion rates.
Go to your lesson and click "Upload Video". Select your file. Cloudinary compresses and optimises it automatically. Students stream it, they never download a raw file. Your video is protected.
Already have a YouTube channel? Keep your videos there and paste the YouTube URL in the lesson. Cloudinary and YouTube work side by side on the same course.

Payment infrastructure

How long does a MoMo payment take?
Under 30 seconds in most cases. You'll get a phone notification to confirm the payment, then instant access to your purchase.
Is there a minimum purchase amount?
Products can be priced from 100 XAF upward. A 200 XAF processing fee applies on purchases of 3,000 XAF or more.
What if my payment fails?
No money is deducted if payment fails. You'll see an error and can try again. Contact us via WhatsApp if you're stuck.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled by the individual creator. Skilldera admin can assist in disputes. Digital products are generally non-refundable unless the product was misrepresented.
