Privacy Policy — Skilldera

Skilldera (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a product of CodersHub Innovations, registered in Buea, Cameroon. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We're committed to handling your data the way we'd want ours handled.

1. What we collect

When you use Skilldera, we collect:

Account data: name, email, phone number, profile photo (optional)
Creator data: storefront slug, bio, Mobile Money number, KYC documents
Transactional data: orders, products purchased, payment references (Fapshi transaction IDs)
Usage data: pages viewed, lessons completed, course progress, login times
Communications: support requests, contact form submissions, newsletter signups
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type (used for security and analytics)

2. How we use it

To operate the platform (create accounts, process payments, deliver courses)
To send transactional emails (receipts, access codes, course updates)
To improve product features and user experience
To prevent fraud, verify creators, and comply with Cameroon law
To send marketing communications (only if you opt in)

3. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not share your data with advertising networks.
We do not train AI models on your personal information.

4. Who we share data with

We share limited data with these service providers, all bound by their own privacy commitments:

Supabase — our database and authentication provider
Fapshi — payment processor (MTN MoMo, Orange Money)
Cloudinary — file and video hosting
Resend — transactional email delivery
Vercel — application hosting

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to retain transactional records (typically 5–7 years for tax compliance).

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

Access your data (email us with the request)
Update or correct your data (via your profile settings)
Export your data (CSV export available from your dashboard)
Delete your account (contact support)
Unsubscribe from marketing emails (link in every newsletter)

7. Children

Skilldera is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have data on a child, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. International transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Cameroon (notably Vercel and Supabase). Your data may be processed in the US or EU. We use providers that comply with international data protection standards.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when we make material changes. For significant changes, we'll email all users with at least 14 days' notice.
