Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Skilldera uses cookies and similar technologies to make the platform work, keep you signed in, and understand how it's being used. This page explains what we use, why, and how to control it.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about you (like that you're signed in) on future visits.
2. Cookies we use
Essential cookies
Required for the platform to function. You can't disable these without breaking the site.
sb-*-auth-token— Supabase authentication session (signed-in state)admin_session— Admin authentication for /admin routes (only on admin accounts)__cf_bm— Cloudflare bot protection
Functional cookies
Used to remember your preferences. Disabling these may reduce platform quality but won't break it.
skilldera_upgrade_dismissed_at— Tracks when you dismissed the upgrade banner so we don't show it again immediately
Analytics cookies
We use server-side analytics (no third-party tracking pixels at this time). If we add analytics tools in future, this policy will be updated and you'll be asked for consent.
3. Cookies we do NOT use
- No advertising / re-targeting cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No third-party data brokers
4. How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow:
- Blocking all cookies
- Allowing only first-party cookies
- Clearing cookies on browser close
If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in to Skilldera. If you block functional cookies, dismissible UI (like the upgrade banner) will re-appear each visit.
5. Local storage
We also use browser local storage for preferences (e.g. upgrade banner dismissal timestamp). Local storage is similar to cookies but stays on your device unless cleared.
6. Changes
If we add new cookies or change how we use them, we'll update this page and (if material) notify you via email.
